"I create this artwork to preserve the natural beauty of the butterfly, even after their death," Mrs. Gimenes says. "I want to show everyone in the world how truly beautiful are these insects that nature has to offer."

These one-of-a-kind pieces of art are all handmade and are raised in butterfly farms in Brazil. All butterflies are protected and supervised by IBAMA, the Brazilian Agency for Environmental Protection, and imported with the approval of the US Fish and Wildlife Services.
